Yeah, obviously this was a joke and I’ve now said that several times. I take care of chinchillas and other exotic animals for a living. Don’t worry I know what kind of care they need. Not directed at you, but people need to get off their high horse and take a joke. I even threw in the mini pig reference to further point out that this isn’t serious.HOKAY.
So I want you to answer this seriously.
If a guy invited your over to see his pet chinchilla [a real one not an innuendo for his penis] would you go? Do you think a chinchilla would get you to go back to a guy you were on a dates with place? Could the chinchilla be like Barney’s [How I Met Your Mother] mini pig? Do you think chinchillas are cute?
My friend is considering a chinchilla and I just need to prove a point.

That is probably one of the worst reasons to get a pet I have ever heard. Pets aren’t trophies. They’re living, breathing animals that require care and attention. And chinchillas need a lot of care and attention.
If I ever found out a guy got a pet (be it dog, cat, chinchilla, or a damn gold fish) to pick up chicks, it would be an automatic deal breaker for me. He could be perfect in every other way, and I’d still leave.

haha i have two chinchillas of my own, they are cute and they arent hard to take care of. the only thing is they chew on EVERYTHING :)

That’s a horrible reason to get a chinchilla. They’re very high energy and require a lot of cage space, attention, play time, and toys.
